The Overhead Door Company of Charlottesville™ was started by Wayne Shaner in the summer of 1979. More than 40 years later this family owned and run business continues to grow. We have provided residential retrofits to home garages, commercial garage door services, and various repair services to numerous numerous clients, including the University of Virginia, giving us a reputation of superior quality. Over the years, our company has grown to include 10 additional employees who strive to provide you with the best service and highest quality products.

When Wayne Shaner started the Overhead Door Company of Charlottesville™, the focus was on the city of Charlottesville and it’s surrounding counties. However, our service and quality products has allowed the company to grow and expand. Early in 2019, we were fortunate enough to open a secondary location, the Overhead Door Company of Lynchburg™, where we can provide the same level of expert service.
